The Henry Ford Museum

USA Made

Step into Americana at this 12-acre preservationist’s dream. The Henry Ford Museum in Detroit goes far beyond showcasing the innovator’s famed Model-T’s (although fanatics of the seminal automobile will be able to view no shortage of these). Exhibits showcase airplanes from all eras and first-time visitors might be surprised to find a number of historic relics including The Wright brothers’ bicycle shop, The Rosa Parks bus and the limousine in which JFK was shot. Visitors looking for insight into the modern impact of Ford’s vision will enjoy the ‘Ford Rouge Factory Tour’ where visitors learn about the production process that goes into building Ford’s signature truck, the F-150. Ford once said himself, “Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young.” This museum provides an educational, enjoyable and inspiring experience for both the young and the young at heart.
